Sigfox transmissions and power consumption using Murata CMW1ZZABZ and StickTrackr
Sigfox transmissions and power consumption using Murata CMW1ZZABZ and StickTrackr

By writing about NB-IoT and LoRaWAN we have so far looked into two huge trendsetters within the Internet of Things (IoT) industry and two major members of the LPWAN technologies family. But what about Sigfox? What kind of energy efficiency can you expect from using this type of LPWAN connectivity?
We have asked Otii user and IoT maker Paul Pinault to share his insights and knowledge about Sigfox transmission and what to expect when looking at its power consumption. Using two sets of devices (addressing two different use cases), Paul gives us two examples of how the power consumption profile could look like. Check out the video below and see how the Murata CMW1ZZABZ (with Semtech SX1276 transceiver) and a Sigfox certified Low Cost device StickTrackr perform when tested.
